As women, we were told to behave a certain way, to dress a certain way, to talk a certain way. Before we even realized, we were conditioned to accept all these impositions as norms for us. We accepted the fact that we needed to live our lives according to these norms so that we could be called normally functioning human beings. We accepted our roles as daughters, sisters, wives and mothers and we celebrate all them with pride. We lived for the other people in our lives. Soon enough, we forgot that first and foremost, it was important to live for our self. We forgot how to express our self.
Here, at Loom Affair, we aim to provide you ways (and hopefully some motivation) to express yourself through clothing. Some women express themselves through literature, others through what they wear.
Wear whatever you like, however you like. Wear a saree with pants or a kurta as a dress. Wear as much or as little as you want. Be creative or be traditional. Either way, be yourself!
